Mercedes was any kind of Daimler Motoren Ghazlchavt- (DMG). DMG began to develop in 1900, after the death of its co-founder, Gottlieb Daimler. Although not raise the name as a trademark until June 23, 1902 and had to wait until Sept. 26 to be legally registered brand name eventually will be applied to model cars built by Wilhelm Maybach to specifications by Emil Jellinek that was delivered to him by December 22, 1900 Jellinek was held, and the new model has a new engine design called "Daimler-Mercedes". Name this engine is the first example of the use of the name, Mercedes, by DMG. Model cars later called the Mercedes 35 HP.
Emil Jellinek was an Austrian diplomat based in Nice, runs a lucrative business selling cars, and as a racing enthusiast, was the race DMG under the pseudonym Mercedes, after his daughter Mercedes Jellinek. [1] Later, he contracted with DMG for a small series of customized sports cars containing an engine that officially carries the name of his daughter.
